Select was the first UK access hirer to specify anti-entrapment devices, fitted on all booms as standard across the entire fleet at no additional cost. We now also offer a Telematics system which gives the added ability for our customers to prevent unauthorised machine access on their sites. Operating nationwide, we provide all our customers with a full hoist hire solution – offering shorter lead times, exceptional service and premium hoists all at a cost-effective price. From conception to completion we take the necessary level of control over the process to ensure optimum results.

Our machines range in width from 1.4m to 2.0m and in length from 2.0m to 3.9m, with a lift capacity for up to 2,500kg. Our XL range have an internal working height of 2.8m and lengths of 3.9m-5.0m making them useful for transporting cladding, glass panels or even bathroom pods. Select’s fleet also includes high speed machines with a working speed of 1.7m/s, ideal for driving productivity on high rise buildings.

Select work closely with the manufacturers of our fleet, accessing specialist items such as inclined hoists and tower crane lifts used to reduce the climb time and risk for tower crane drivers. Both examples of where our hoist team will look to innovate for our clients needs. Our hoist services are complemented by our fully trained, highly skilled teams for erect and dismantle, maintenance, engineering and design support.
